Belagar Ironhammer

Belagar Ironhammer

Staunch cleric in service to the god Helm devoted to healing those in need and hunting the Morrigan responsible for the death of his family.
Fell in with The Outsiders during The Festival of the Hunt in Ebonmere
His relationship with The Outsiders fell apart when they decided to follow The Black Buckler and rob Almithara Luwynn. He could not stand the direct opposition to the law and the seedy side the group was developing and turned them in to Olthish Greyax. When they were unable to catch The Outsiders in the act he decided it was in his best interest to retreat and prepare himself for their wrath.

Personal history

As a young child he was given away by his parents from the bright blade clan for safety from a bandit raid to secure his parents safety. It did not after taking him away only just out of the door frame a faint and startled yell was all he needed to know that his parents were gone. On his way to be sold in Daggerfall country to another one of the bandit groups looking for a more skilled digger and miner he surely would have become. That is when the gauntlets of Helm took hold and never let young Belegar go. Ambushed in the woods the bandits who committed grave crimes were perished by the helms paladins who thought the bandits were spies of the dragon cult gone rouge. They swiftly moved Belegar to there near by camp and heard the guidance from helm to let him join their order. Slowly he grew into his part back at the temple more inclined with bashing heads then conjuring new magical things he would soon learn just how hard it is to be one of helms chosen. As his day of decision was approaching to either become a cleric or a paladin the choice was easier for him then most. The day when he chose which branch to pursue all hell broke loose as a group of assassins sent by the dragon cult descended on the temple and most were killed. Pushing the invaders back from the temple Belegar stood watching as his masters head was heaved off by a slender figure dressed in black. Their eyes met and in his mind he only heard one word "Morrigan" and the slender figure disappeared into the raging fight. After the battle was over and many recruits and masters alike were slain he stood over his master and the only recruit old enough to know the ritual sat and performed it. For hours sending his fallen brothers to stand guard with helm and that is when he found his true calling as a cleric. Many members left after the massacre including Belegar, not for losing faith but for a pull of destiny in another place. That day he vowed to his god Helm that he would get revenge and watch over this realm cursing the name Morrigan repeatedly. Looking to exact the revenge of his god and his own. With nothing left in his life for meaning only one thing remained..... order.
