Eris
Whilst the rest of the outer rim is considered to be at the 'End of the world', Eris is something different. According to the known laws of terraforming anything with a solar constant less than 0.002 should not be able to be terraformed. Erisis beyond the end, sustained only by the lights from the cities. It is a technological wonder.Eris is the outermost planet of The Sol System and has a tilt of 90°. It has a global population of 6.1 million spread across ??? nations, with its cities built inside illuminated domes due to the darkness of Eris. Temperatures range from -93° to 15°, averaging at -57°, this is due to Eris' highly eliptical orbit. 91.7% of Eris' gravity is artificially generated. Eris is a small and frozen frontier planet. It has an atmosphere of oxygen, nitrogen, methane, carbon dioxed, hydrogen and sulphur hexafluoride. The planet also experiences a lot of rainy weather. Water is readily available as ice, and can be melted. 17% of Eris' energy is kinetic, and the remaining 83% is imported from Iapetus and Io. Its major industries include tourism. Most transportation is achieved with sleds and hovervehicles. It is a popular tourist destination due to its nature as a frontier planet, often reffered to as being 'beyond the end'. People from Eris are called Eridians, and products from Eris are described as Eridian. Terraformers experienced setbacks due to the planet's extreme distance from Sol, which meant that plants could only be grown in artificially illuminated environments. All buildings on Eris must be insulated, whether they are outside of cities or not, due to the low natural temperature caused by the distance from the sun.
Geography
Eris is a rocky planet covered in ice, and does not have a natural day/night cycle, as the sun gives a solar constant under 0.002. Inside the domed cities, and near other locations, there are patches of ground without any snow, revealing Eris' valleys and hills.
Fauna & Flora
Inside the domes, Eris has temperate forests, and animal life associated with these climates. Outside, there is hardly any flora or fauna, yet close to the domes and outside settlements some cold-weather plants can be found. The reason for this is that Eris is beyond the point where plant life can grow with only the light from Sol. Grass is the most common plant on Eris.
