Zhulshi & Szitzasha

God of Tyranny and Serpentkind

The god of tyranny is a great, two-headed serpent of terrible might and power. Zhulshi, the male head, and Szitzasha, the female head, constantly scheme and plot with each other. Their goals almost always include conquest, domination, and removing threats to their supremacy. The other gods distrust the serpent god, for they are difficult to read, even with magic. Zhulshi and Szitzasha are extremely intelligent in addition to possessing powerful psionic abilities. Zhulshi and Szitzasha are depicted as a massive serpent, usually with brown scales on its body with two heads. The head and neck representing Zhulshi are displayed with rustic, dark-red scales and violet eyes. The head representing Szitzasha is displayed with deep green scales and blue eyes.
Zhulshi and Szitzasha care little for the affairs of the other gods, preferring each other's company while they develop their plans. Their larger goals remain a mystery to most; however, it has been surmised that these plans include the domination of the world of Urlyra. Some form of this plan also includes Imeyar, which has the god of magic and several other gods perturbed. However, the serpent-god has made no outward moves or hostile actions towards Imeyar. For now, Zhulshi and Szitzasha seem content to support their mortal followers in their conquests and sit quietly in the shadows.
Most of Zhulshi and Szitzasha's worshippers are serpentfolk and other ophidian races. However, tyrants and warlords also number among their worshippers in the hopes of gaining the conquering deity's favor. Many who possess psionic powers worship Zhulshi and Szitzasha in the hopes of better understanding their abilities as well as to gain more power. Most of the serpent god's followers have a universal goal of conquering and claiming as much of the world of Urlyra as they can in the name of their god. Not even these worshippers understand why, only that it is what their deity desires.
Places dedicated to the worship of Zhulshi and Szitzasha are typically ziggurats or pyramid-like structures. Many of them are heavily fortified and function as small military facilities. Others are dedicated to pursuing psionic powers and have teachers and training facilities specifically intended to hone and enhance the powers of the mind. Serpent iconography is common in these temples and it is not unusual for them to possess serpentine guardians or to breed various types of snakes or snake-like creatures.
