Sacred marriage
Once a generation, a young man and woman are paired together in sacred marriage. They are symbolically the parents of the next generation and hold the position for as long as they can continue to produce children.
Execution
The young man is brought down the Great Father on a boat and likewise the young woman is brought down the The Great Mother by boat. They disembark at The Tree where the ceremony takes place.
Observance
The ceremony takes place once a generation during the spring, on the first full moon after the the rivers reach their high-water mark.
