The Stalker
The Stalker
A creature borne of psychic dissonance, the Stalker feeds on fear, pain, and sorrow. It grows rapidly and prefers to set up its hunting grounds in remote locations where it can manipulate its preys' emotions to cause them to become functionally incapable of mounting a reasonable resistance. Preferring to feed upon children first, then moving to the avenging youths of the community, the Stalker saves the elderly for last. They are given the worst of all tortures, being telepathically invaded and tortured until their own bodies yearn for death to the point where their hearts and minds willingly give out, dying from sheer exhaustion. After this, the Stalker -- now fat from its feast -- will move to a new secluded region where it takes up residence and restarts its feeding process to regain its strength once again. The Stalker is a horrifying psychic terror which manipulates the natural world to inflict mental wounds. A form of vampiricism, this monster turns all it corrupts into its personal lair, only growing in power until it has exhausted its food sources in the region. At such a time, it takes the arduous task of moving to a new location and starting all over again.
