The Dognobbin

An adorable cocker spaniel puppy yips and runs in circles, biting at tufts of grass and wagging its little tail. It looks up at you with its puppy eyes and does its best to voice an adorable little howl. You can't help but crack a smile as you lean down to pet it, and it bounces back and forth, nipping at your hands as you get on your knees to play. It starts to run toward the woods, always just a bound or two ahead of you. Before you realize it, you're deep in the woods and following a yip and a yowl, and find yourself lost amongst green and purple branches. Upon further insepction, you notice an otherworldly ooze and odd living motion, almost like the trees are made of strange musculature and veins. You turn towards a cracking and wet sound of snapping limbs only to see the face of the little puppy growing at an alarming rate. The adorable tail has become rooted to the vascular floor of the forest, the body of the dog is branched out and contorted, and the head is giant and slobbering with an otherworldly hunger in its eyes. The monster comes at you quickly, and you realize you have been tricked into its lair.   The Dognobbin is a monster borne of the joy of little children, and made to trick them using their happiness as a lure. It then feeds upon their fear, slowly ripping them apart and reforming itself into more and more horrific visages.
