Quintoro

The marches of Lucidor hold a proud people, who are still deeply influenced (more than any other Talireans) by the echoes of the Grand Old Dominion. Like the Keshkevarine the Lucidoreans are related to from they hold lineage and tradition highly, but underneath the military rule of the kobolds that have resettled there they have also become influenced by their warrior's code and devotion to the blade. Many of the demihumans of Lucidor resent that they are ruled by beastfolk, but just as many have embraced the noble dog-men of Seotan for having saved them from the slavering orcs beneath their feet. Even though dueling is banned by the Axiomatic Church, it is a tradition that was prized by both the native Lucidoreans and the Seotanese kobolds integrated into their society, and the tradition of vendetta is alive and well there. Lucidoreans brook little insult, and express their feelings deeply and openly, but they are in this age trended towards Good just as much as any other. Lucidoreans prize honor, passion, and dance. They are fervent in whatever they believe in, and the kobolds especially are beloved of Bahamut, but this is also where Asmodeus still has the strongest presence.
  • Ancestry: The military is dominated by kobolds who protect the marches, while quicklings, harfoots and dwarves make up the majority of the rest. Goblins used to be kept as indentured servants by the nobility, but are now being rehabilitated as true citizens.

  • Starting Languages: Low Talirean, Lucidorean
  •
  • Myrcian Weapons: straight sword (katana), greatclub, crossbow, stiletto (dagger), battle razor (wakizashi). The kobolds introduced their native weapons: metal blades that were completely straight with a single, razor-sharp edge (straight sword, battle razor), as well as a tetsubo-inspired greatclub studded with metal and their own crossbows. Lucidorean vendettas have historically however been ended with the stiletto.
