Gamma Ataria

Gamma Ataria was once thriving with life however a gravitic explosion from an extradimensional faster-than-light device caused an artificial womhole to appear close to the planet. The strange radiation emitted from the wormhole combined with extreme gravitational forces from the malfunctioning gravity drive caused severe devastation on the planet. Most of the ecosystem has collapsed although a few lifeforms like a highly invasive blue mold and a single-eyed rodent-like animal appear to have evolved to survive..
When the wormhole was collapsed during the rescue of the NX Atlantis it may be possible that  the local biosphere can still recover.
