For a long time, Elus' goal was to find his family and bring them back together. For years he worked night and day...and then it happened. He found his parents and his sister and were able to get them financial aide through Bajor's social programs. He was 26 years old when he was finally able to consider what he wanted to do and having spent his life in and around Bajor it seemed his instincts were to get as far away as possible. As joyful as bringing his family back together was, it also represented a lot of pain and having been part of the relief effort he was keenly aware of how much death and destruction the Cardassian's and Dominion had wrought. He is dedicated, reliable, holds himself and others to a high degree and yet he is also unmoored looking to find a purpose or goal to work towards after a lifetime of struggles. his psyche evaluations indicate he will likely find himself but until then it is important to keep an eye on him to make sure he is developing in a positive way and not letting depression or enui engulf him.

Biographical Overview

Specific records of Elus' birth were lost when the Cardassian Union destroyed numerous records as they were leaving Bajor. His family was already deeply integrated into the Bajoran resistance and early in his childhood his family raised him in the wilderness while they conducted guerilla operations against Cardassian forces. In 2366 the compound was raided and he and his family were processed into internment camps and split up across Bajor. When Cardassia departed in 2369 Elus was released and he immediately began searching for his family as all records had been destroyed. In 2370 he chose to enlist in Starfleet to be stationed on Starbase 465 that was a primary refugee and supply point while he continued searching for his family. In 2374 he was able to reconnect his family and get them resettled together on Bajor. Shortly afterwards he elected to transfer to voyage expeditions and was re-assignend to the USS Orpheus.
