Psychological Profile

Little is known about Druchmognod's species so as this is the first formal psychological examination on Starfleet's records, we can only establish a baseline for her species instead of drawing individual conclusions about Druchmognod as an individual. Her species is characterized by extreme paranoia and the belief that any offer of friendship or favors is a hook to ensanre and exploit them. A simple offer to help carry something for her could be construed as an aggressive attempt at manipulation. Over the years Druchmognod seems to have relaxed and can even accept simple offers but it is clear she is battling her natural instincts of suspicions. Her species inclination to engineering and systems not only gives her great skill in that area but also she seems to derive great comfort and diagnosing a system short is akin to meditation for her. One thing to note is that her species gives off a very distinct smell which is only heightened in stressful situations. Her sweat glands produce trace amounts of sulfur giving it a pungent smell and it is unknown if her species uses scents to communicate or if it was a defense mechanism to make her kind less palatable for consumption. Either way it is advised that when she is done working on a shuttle the life support system is given a chance to do a complete cycle to filter out any excess sulfur that might have accumulated during her maintenance work.

Biographical Overview

Druchmognod was born on Deep Space 5 to an enclave of unknown aliens. These aliens, calling themselves the Livedezed ("People of the Stars" in their language) were discovered drifting through space on a destroyed cyrogenic ship in 2306. A collision had destroyed the command pod, including the computer core, and while most of the cryopods had been destroyed a few hundred were able to be rescued. Due to being re-thawed improperly the Livedezed suffered from partial or complete amnesia and while they could remember some things like their language, their history and origins were lost.
The Federation granted asylum to the this group and they have continued to primarily live on Deep Space 5 searching for their origins and history. They became known as a group of skilled engineers able to decipher foreign technology and jury rig almost anything. Druchmognod's people have struggled to integrate into Federation society with many unusual customs and a ingrained paranoia that anyone offering help is just going to exploit or even enslave them. Druchmognod is the first of her kind to join Starfleet, although she chose to enlist instead of becoming an officer. Her enclave-based education was incomplete and lacking so she struggled with written examinations but her innate sense of understanding mechanical systems allowed her to pass the technician exams easily.
In 2370 after enlisting she was stationed at Starfleet Academy to help acclimate her to Starfleet culture and to get a better understanding of how deep her technical understanding goes. She was assigned to very advanced research projects at the Academy and she excelled in some tasks and was lacking in others. In the end after three years of observation and experimentation it was determined her talents best lie in small craft like shuttles where her holistic understanding of engineering systems won't get overwhelmed by the size and complexity of larger ships. In 2373 in response to the Dominion War she was assgined to the USS-Hancock, a Freedom-class ship assigned as a heavy scout along the Breen border. In 2375 when the Breen joined forces with the Dominion, the Hancock was on the frontlines and suffered heavy damage. in 2376 the Hancock was brought in for extensive repairs and retrofits so Druchmognod was re-assigned to the USS Romonov heading out for a 5-year exploration assignment. In 2378 the Romonov encountered a sentient electrical storm that caused heavy damage to the ship and it was recalled for extensive repairs. Druchmognod was again re-assigned, this time to the USS Orpheus.
