Sitting prominently in Hayfield, the temple to Cyrrollalee built as a sign of good will to the traveling halflings in the region.
Ruled by Lord Gordan and Lady Ravennia Hilland. Their daughter, Priscilla, was taken by, unbeknownst to them, by orcs that emerged from the region. Was brought back to the city thanks to rescuing of B.O.L.D.
City Regions
Four Markets
The outer market, known as the Four Markets, is the simple north gate that goes to the fertile fields beyond the city, to the wetlands. Here, farmers, merchants, hunters, foodsellers bark their product to passersby. Selling usually spills into the city and other, lesser quality shops are set up. There is always stiff competition between "inna-city" and "outta-city" sellers. Outta-city sellers say their product is authentic and fresh, inna-city sellers say they have the same product but inside the city so you don't have the leave the comforting, shielding walls.
Northgate
More northwestern than true north, this gate is considered the main gate to the city. Many come into Canstin and many leave, but most come and go though this gate. It is financially successful with shops and some houses, apartments for the overflow of people displaced by the war. Dozens of patrols in groups of three or four police the markets and alleyways as best they can.
Sormu's Pond
The park of the city. Sormu was a mage in the court of Canstin a thousand years ago, when Canstin was just a few neighborhoods. He built a tower of stone only to have a spell go terribly wrong and the whole of the tower turned to ice and melted in the summer heat. The mayor at the time declared the area a park and has since been a place of leisurely strolls, picnics, and general fun.
Old Town
Also known as "Farmer's Guildroom" or "Guildruum", the agricultural society resides here. Farmers from around the city come together to help one another out, forming their own little government of farmers.
Castle District
Home to Canstin Keep and law offices. Not much commerce here, but the castle barracks is here as well as the royal smithy.
Nightcliff
This dark district of the city, set in a hollow of land, houses the lowlifes and vagabonds. There is perpetual shadow due to the tall buildings before the ground descends into a deep bowl. Much crime goes on at night and guards are wont to enter. There is no formal "evil guild" in the city, but many questions do arise when talking about thieving and murdering and the connection to bribery or racketeering. The staging area doubles as a parade ground.
Hayfield
This district houses the religious side of Canstin, the temple to Cyrrollalee being the main attraction. Halflings from around flock to it, mostly Hobbits but sometimes Skimmers too.
Windsong
Fey and fey-creatures prowl and peruse the tree-filled streets, taking in the sights while a soft yellow-green glow filters the vision. There's a sort of magical property to this outter district that attracts many feyfolkyn. Gnomes especially revel in the light, reminiscing their stories in the Feywild.
Canstin Keep
The keep itself is more a large fortified house than a true keep like Yym or Ridgegate. The round bastions surrounding are topped with towers or trebuchets or ballistae. A hundred crack troops are stationed here, though the threat of violence has ceased since the War of the Throne. There wasn't much threat in Corridor province because it was so far away from the conflict, and the Duke and Duchess could simply turn an eye away to risk upsetting either side and incur unwanted wrath.
