Darrenyit

A small town on the verge of bursting as a major player in Tambuxia. Was home to lumberjacks. Farmers came to trade their goods and settled down. Many wealthy traders invested into the shops on the rise. Several workers were needed to install new infrastructure.
All was well until a small party of adventurers came and defeated some unknown evil in a cave on the south side of town. After defeating it, a portal to the Shadowfell opened. After defeating that evil, the town recuperated slowly. When it came back with momentum disaster struck: King Manaron, in a fit of unbridled rage, flew his army down to Darrenyit and razed the city and its inhabitants to the ground. Their crime was being sympathetic to the Democracy, whom Manaron had just defeated in war. Many see this as unnecessary, and others believed it deterred many rebellions that murmured a resurgence.
It lies as a blackened field, no stone left standing. Charred skeletons bake in the sun, what little bones remain. The ground is said to be cursed beyond cursing, for not even necromancers can think to attain any fodder from the soil since all bodies were thoroughly burned. All it exists now is a reminder of the power of Manaron and his absolute rule over Evoria.
