Johone Waffara Retreat

Purpose / Function

As a waffara retreat, the Johone location exists as a place for lupari to specifically seek out for platonic interaction and the potential of making new friends. It contains some simple The Lapra versions of these retreats, on the surface, differ little from a normal park. The outer portion of the retreat, outside of the Lapra forest, has open spaces for play such as sports or picnics. Benches are scattered around, including in the forest itself, and a playground for the young is present just outside the forest.   The retreat differs from a normal park in that entry into a waffara retreat implies a search for physical contact and play. Children wrestling one another, adults simply holding one another, or even mutual grooming. Benches are padded to offer comfort for physical contact. A stall sells dry grooming supplies such as brushes, along with blankets. Some other stalls sell food, but all are expected to clean up after themselves.   Balls are publicly available in bins for various games. The most popular play is using the scented balls to throw into the forest, or hide them, to seek out through scent.
