Berkle Tumptree

Farpoint's No 1 administrator

Berkle is the chief adminstrator for the Farpoint Mercenaries Guild, working closely along side Melinda Strix to keep Farpoint running smoothly. His duties often involve coordinating the quest distributions for idle merc groups, facilitaing the creation of new groups from solo mercs, and even coordinating group deployments during larger military actions.

A young tinkerer

Berkle came from a family of tinkerers and blacksmiths, constantly surrounded by either hot forges or messy workshops. He was also surrounded by many people growing up, being extended family members, friends or customers at his family's various trades businesses. Before he was old enough to start participating in actual blacksmithing or tinkering, he would often help out at the front of house of either his father's smithy (Tumptree's Hammer), or his aunt and uncle's tinkering and repair shop (Fixem's). Here he exhibited a natural affinity for organisation and working with people. He dabbled with various crafting trades as he grew up, eventually finding a passion for magically-assisted tinkering.

Finding Farpoint

Eventually at the age of 20, Berkle began to feel an certain amount of wanderlust, which led him to joining a small adventurer's crew. His skills as an Artificer proved invaluable, fighting bandits and helping those in need around his northern Myreglyne stomping grounds. Eventually his group heard about Farpoint, and the prospect of a larger mercenary/adventurer guild intrigued Berkle. His tenure at Farpoint started in the year 455 as a moderately experienced adventurer turned mercenary, however he soon caught the attention of Melinda through his organisational and interpersonal skills. He transitioned into one of guilds regular staff and threw himself into his new administrative duties, which he relished. Over his years working at Farpoint he did find the time to keep honing his artificerial craft, mostly in private, ensuring that he is always ready to brandish his might eldritch cannon to defend those who need it.
