Mechanus is order and precision made manifest. The entire plane is almost completely composed of clockworks and machinery, all working in explicably perfect harmony. The bronze and iron gears and mechanical parts reflect the ochre skies above, an odd beauty that few ever see. The laws of probability are kept by these exacting mechanical systems, all of which is overseen by
The Ouroboric, Order's Machinator. His constant neverending mission of maintence keeps this realm working, so that all other may function. Without the impossibly complex machinery of this realm, everyother plane would fall into chaos, with random and impossible events occuring with impossible to predict timing.
Points of Interest
Stellaris Major
One of the largest mechanical systems in Mechanus, this gargantuan collection of gears is responsible for keeping the planes in alignment. It can be seen in the distance from almost anywhere in the plane. Expansions and modifcations were made after The Schism separated the planes.
Soluna
One of the only areas with a different aesthetic to the usual bronze and metal tones of Mechanus, Soluna is the home of
Arcturus, Custodian of Dawn and
Io, Custodian of Dusk. It is located close to Stellaris Major, and is responsible for the moving of the sun and moon. Arcturus and Io essentialy brought a piece of
Arcadia with them when they were tasked with maintaining the sun and the moon. The geometric hills and sharp landscapes blend with polished steel machinery, reminding the two gods of home.
