Products
The company is responsible for supplying Necros with the most lifestones, black and green crystals used in the Lifestone Ritual to store life and magic energies to be later used by a necromancer or witch. The Lapirus Mining Company supplies most of the largest, superior and ultimate lifestones that are reserved for use by Queen Marcella and other members of the royal family.Lapirus Mining Company mines also produce various metals, gemstones, and other materials that bring vital wealth to the area and to the crown of Necros.
The company also mines Bloodstones, which can also be used to store magic energy to later be used in spellwork. They have less capacity for magic storage, but are cheaper, less regulated, and more abundant.
Expanding Influence
What began as a small mining operation has expanded into a massive organization that now includes multiple mining outposts, warehouse, and partnerships with distributors, exporting companies, jewelers, and more. With their headquarters in Lapirus, the Lapirus Mining Company holds great sway over the local government of the town. They also operate and own some of the inns and waystations along the primary route between Shivano City, the capital city of Necros, and Lapirus.The company also holds offices and warehouses in Shivano City, the capital city of Necros. Because of their role in supplying the best lifestones, the company has many connections with the Church of Na'arin and the Office of Necromancy, which operates from Shivano Castle, directed by the Arch-necromancer of Necros.
Some argue this grants them too much sway over the prices and regulations of lifestones, bloodstones, and other goods.
The Lapirus Mining Company seems to have its hands in everything these days, from mining, to transport, to politics. Some wonder just how much sway the company has over the crown itself.
