Lake Mesitan

This body of water covers an approximate area of 400 square miles and takes on the form of a large Cresent moon with Alisar nestled with in the open face of the shape.    The longest distance of the lake extends from North to south and would take approximately 1.5 days to traverse via good sea vessel.

Geography

Stretching roughly 26 miles north to south the lake doesn't pass through many diverse environments, however it is feed by several rivers that do, this helps account for the varied wild life that lives both in the lake and on its shores.   The most prominent feature on the eastern side is the best city of Alisar where much of the trade taking place on the lake feeds into.   On the western shore the highest peaks of the Theron Hills ride up almost from the very water before they advance to the west.

Fauna & Flora

The aquatic creatures found in the lake are varied and diverse, mostly due to the multitude of rivers flowing into the body, here followed a list of the most common fish, many of which are caught and sold in townships and cities along the edge of the lake.

Many of the animals along the shore of Lake Mestine are herd animals and are in fact stock, and as such are not native to the region.

Natural Resources

Lake Mestine is a fresh water lake and as such it provides much of the drinking water and agricultural resources to the area. But it also provides so much more than that.    98% Seafood consumed in the region is taken from the lake, this includes the list of fish above along with many aquatic plant including seaweed, rice, and cranberries.
