House Eormund
House Eormund is the greatest noble house in the Commonwealth, by virtue of the primacy of High King Arthas Wulfred Eormund. All other houses owe fealty to the Crown in one manner or another.
Under House Eormund, Dielynorian nobility exists in a variety of states. The highest tier of nobility consists of the monarchs of nation states, such as the Imperator of Averon, or Grand Duke of Graxuille. The second tier consists of provincial governors, which vary widely in nomenclature depending on the national or regional needs/culture. For example, the affairs of Vestemark are administered by a duke, whereas the free peoples of Siltmarsh hold elections. Under the provincial governors serve a myriad of nobles, ranging from manor lords to barons to high earls depending on the individual gravitas of the particular house. Some regions are so sparsely populated that a local ealdorman or military officer may be elevated to “acting lord” of a countryside, particularly along frontiers and wilderness areas, though they will typically enjoy relatively few of the perks of “proper” nobility.
The unifying factor between all of these examples? They all bend the knee.
Territories
House Eormund controls all of the Commonwealth. There are lands beyond the Sunterseas, but they are much too far away to govern effectively from Baskhaven-- at least for now.
Military
United, the Commonwealth boasts an impressive array of military forces and assets. From the cannons of the Remoran Armada to the magical might of the Arcane Academy, there are few forces in the known world capable of standing against House Eormund's strength. However, High King Arthas Wulfred Eormund, the famed Olive King, has little taste for bloodshed and conquest, having inherited a longstanding peace forged by his predecessor's military might.
Religion
The official religion of the Commonwealth is the Church of Convocation, administered by House Barnabas on behalf of the King.
Trade & Transport
Trade within the Commonwealth is administered by The Balance and protected by House Kalypso on behalf of the King.
Education
The pursuit of knowledge, both mystic and mundane, is administered and compiled by House Aedenburg on behalf of the king.
Infrastructure
Capital cities within the commonwealth benefit from a wide array of public works, depending on the specific locale. Most large cities boast at least a rudimentary aqueduct and sewer system, public temples for healing, and well-maintained roads. Communication between settlements is relatively reliable, depending on how important the message is and how deep the sender's pockets are, courtesy of Fanfare, the postal and farrier's guild.

Currency
The official currency of the Commonwealth is a series of metallic coins, each representing a denomination. Typically, the coins weigh roughly 1/3oz each, depending on purity and local minting practices. Taxes are levied by House Lenore on behalf of the King.
A Phoenix Piece (pp) is minted from platinum, and is worth ten Gryphons.
A Gryphon Piece (gp) is minted from gold, and is worth ten Serpents.
A Serpent Piece (sp) is minted from silver, and is worth ten Crowns.
A Crown Piece (cp) is minted from copper, and by far the most common coin, representing the universality of the High King's authority.
Legislative Body
While the High King is solely responsible for the law and enforcement thereof on paper, in reality, there are far too many moving parts within the hierarchy of the Commonwealth for one man to balance single-handedly. To assist the High King in the administration of the realm, the Privy Council, hand picked by the King, are delegated responsibilities and minutia less-worthy of the King's attention. This, in effect, forms something of a legislative body responsible for ensuring the continued function of the Commonwealth as a state.
