Senechal of the Ruby Court

Reserved for those that go beyond ones station in the service of her highness the Ruby Empress or her Empire, this title is one bestowed directly by the Empress' hands. While primarily awarded to Adventurers who went toe to toe with some great horror, or saved an entire city from imminent destruction, or interceded in the defense of the Ruby Empress when in dire need, this title is open to civilians and enlisted personal alike. Those awarded this title and that are known to the players include, Maeve Grimjaw, Novah Willamay, and Clive Celaden for their valiant efforts in the defense of the Codburn. Though the city was overrun and burned to dust the people, save the first few victims, were escorted to safety due to their defense against the Mindflayers and their Githyanki slaves.
Those prospective recipients of the honor are first interviewed for the validity of the feat as well as their feelings towards the throne should they be attempting to gain this title only for a chance to strike at the Ruby Empress. Then any witnesses are interviewed for extra validation. Pending these interviews an assembly is held in the Silver district of Rubi'Sarha and the recipients come forward before the Empress to receive their title. They are bond by honor to the Ruby Empress and her Empire to uphold the title and continue to exercise her power as they had once done to receive this rank. As becoming a Senechal of the Ruby Court also appoints the recipient to the rank of Knight Officer within the Imperial Army a knighting ceremony takes place.
Besides the honor within the the title itself those worthy to receive it are granted one wish capable of being granted by the Ruby Empress. This the grandest part of the rank has been used to receive wondrous items, personal peace and stability, and even other titles and lands. Secondly with their appointment to the rank of Knight Officer should they require in the defense of the Empire or the Empress they can command 20 of the Imperial armies conscripted soldiers. Lastly they have the privilege of requesting an audience directly with the Ruby Empress. These are all under the conditions of loyal actions both openly and secretly, those of this title found to be conspiring against the throne are stripped of it, and the gift granted after the ceremony. Most are then sentenced to life imprisonment in the Brak'Nol Prison save one Count Millo who had undergone the transformation of Vampirism was sentenced to death by exposure to sunlight.
The Ruby Court is comprised exclusively of those called to this Rank. While meetings of this court are seldom called should their be a need it is expected that all are present. Inquest will follow the absence of any from the assembly of this court.
