Acrain

Acrain would be entirely desert if it weren't for the Shimmering Run. Each year, only around an inch of rain falls in Acrain. However, rains at the river's source in Big Horn Cape, far to the east, cause the river to swell each summer. Waters flood the valleys of the river, leaving sediments necessary for the growth of trees, plants, and crops.
Upper Acrain in the east and Lower Acrain in the west are common divisions of Acrain. The Shimmering Run travels from east to west, therefore the sections are named accordingly. The Gamrior Sea is where the river empties.
The scenery of Upper Acrain is made up of low mountains and desert. Wide valleys around the Shimmering Run and desert to the north and south characterize Lower Acrain. The fertile area of the Shining Delta, which stretches across the western end of the region in a triangular shape, is totally covered in farms.
