Demon Mast
The Demon Mast, one of the city's newest features, is located directly across the street from the stately Grand Temple of Enesis in the heart of the city. The Gothic-style octagonal bell tower, which was only recently constructed, stands approximately 200 feet above the ground, affording amazing panoramic views that extend all the way to the sea. This requires visitors to ascend a 207-step spiral staircase located within the building.
As a result, the militia of Aedrucuthage has a bird's eye perspective of the city and surrounding area, which can be used to gain a tactical advantage in times of conflict and to help prevent and respond to crimes in the future. Additional possibilities to observe the city's comings and goings are provided by the controversial Camera Obscura, which is located directly below the belfry. However, the Camera Obscura has sparked continuous debate regarding invasion of privacy and the government spying on the public.
It is not because of any actual connections with demons that the bell tower was given its name, but rather because of the ugly gargoyles that grace the exterior of the belfry.
