Drider

Creatures of myth and legend, stories tell that driders were the guardians of the husk of Nivian's earthly form before his essence was imprisoned in the Book of Dreadful Shadow. A monstrosity something akin to centaurs, they take the form of a giant spider, with the upper torso of a drow where the eyes and mandibles would usually emerge. Driders have rarely, if ever, been seen on the surface of Valine, staying within the Undervale to the extent that their very existence is dismissed by most surface dwellers, and they remain only stories told to frighten children.
