Efreet
Efreet are genies born when a wandering soul joins forces with a fire elemental to form a new being. Volatile creatures prone to unpredictable behavior, they are renowned for their blazing appearance and impressive magical talents.
Efreet always take a humanoid shape. They are gigantic, weighing in at more over 2,000 pounds on average, and stand up to 12 feet tall. Their skin is either crimson or black, and they are perpetually on fire. Due of their wicked appearances, individuals have been mistaken for Devil. According to folklore, their bodies are made of basalt, bronze, and solidified fire.
Efreeti magic is on a level with the magic of other powerful beings such as demons and liches in terms of strength and flexibility. It is particularly prominent in the field of magical weaponsmithing. Efreet are renowned for their ability to create flaming weapons.
Efreet are self-serving and brutal. They believe themselves to be of the noblest character, however, and they all choose lordly titles to appear impressive.
Efreet require heat to exist in the same way as other species require water. Their bodies are kept alive by heat and flame. As a result, they are more likely to be found in areas near fumaroles, volcanoes, and other major natural heat sources.
Fire Elemental make every effort to avoid the efreet, fearful of their authoritarianism and opportunism. Since the djinn despise efreet, there have been countless wars between them. When engaging with the efreet, the dao often exchange worked things for raw metals with the efreet and are viewed favorably. The efreet regard most other species as unworthy of anything but servitude or slavery.
Magicians have sought to enslave efreet in order to harness their immense power. Although there are certain distinctions between this type of binding and that used by demons, it is equally difficult and likely to result in the bound creature's wrath if the attempt to free it fails.
Naming Traditions
Unisex names
The efreeti's brains are preoccupied with two concepts: honor and acquisition. Efreeti names are also included in this concept. These extensive texts provide historical and grandiose details of the efreet's deeds, thus the longer the efreet lives, the lengthier their name becomes. To minimize the frustration of having a lesser being struggle with something that is (to the efreet) beyond their comprehension, they will deal with lesser beings using a more straightforward nomenclature.
