Limon Moonshine
Limon Moonshine has a bright, clear color and a strong citrus aroma. Made by fermenting a mixture of sugar, water, and limon juice, the fermented liquid is then distilled to create a clear, high-proof alcohol that has a distinct citrus aftertaste. Other ingredients such as herbs, spices, and additional fruits are added to enhance the flavor, introducing regional differences to the drink, however the original limon moonshine was first distilled in the western coastal regions of the Gamrior Sea.
The taste of the original limon moonshine is tart and citrusy, with a noticeable alcohol kick. Though made with added sweetness in other areas, depending on the amount of sugar used in the fermentation process, the original recipe has little sweetener and is more of a bitter citrus drink. Some recipes have used honey or other sweeteners to balance out the tartness of the lemon juice, with the version from Eaqaal tending towards particularly sweet versions.
Overall, limon moonshine has a distinct flavor that's both refreshing and potent. It's important to note that moonshine typically uses homemade distilling techniques that often gives it a very strong alcohol content, so it should always be consumed in moderation.
