Ogre
Ogres are a formidable and surprisingly intelligent species, with a deep connection to the land and the primal magic that flows through it. They are massive creatures, standing up to ten feet tall, with powerful muscles and thick hides that are nearly impervious to harm.
Despite their size and strength, ogres have a sparse population, and prefer to live in isolation from other species. They are highly protective of their territories, which are often rich in primal arcane power, and they will go to great lengths to defend them against intruders.
Ogres have a complex social structure, with strong family ties and a deep respect for their elders and traditions. They are skilled hunters and gatherers, with a deep knowledge of the natural world and its secrets. They have a rich culture of storytelling, music, and dance, and they take great pride in their artistic achievements, although ogre art is seldom to the tastes of other lineages.
However, ogres face constant struggles against being exploited, enslaved, or otherwise abused by other species, due to prejudice and significant cultural misunderstandings. They are often seen as dangerous beasts to be feared and hunted, rather than intelligent and complex beings with their own culture and traditions. Hags in particular are known to target ogres as potential bodyguards and use enchantments to enslave them.
As a result, ogres are fiercely defensive of their lands and their way of life, and will not hesitate to use their formidable strength and magical powers to protect themselves and their families from harm. They are not inherently violent or aggressive, but they will not allow themselves to be pushed around or mistreated.
