River Garnock
About a mile and a half south of its starting point in the Head of Glengarnock the untested stream tumbles over the Cataract Falls(location), the highest waterfall in the Duchy of Cunningham, once thought to be the river's origin. The river then continues, for a total length of 20 miles or so, through the towns of Kilbirny, and Kilwining to its confluence with the River Irvine at Irvine.
