Thieves' Cant
Arguably more a code than an actual language, Thieves' Cant is a means of communication by which members of society's underbelly can identify themselves and converse about dubious or criminal plans of action without detection. Although it has no written form, there is an element of symbolism by which the arrangement of certain objects in a location can indicate a marking of territory, a meeting spot, a true or covert identity, or even a plan of action.
