Unwelcome Field
It forms in an area of frigid slope from Mount Clarenfil's eastern flank, where it feeds on snow and ice avalanches with its single tongue before heading northeast. On the glacier tongue, an insulating layer of debris keeps the ice from melting. As a result, the position of the glacier front has stayed relatively stable throughout history. The glacier is five and a half miles long in total, with the glacier's front descending to an elevation of 12,600 feet above sea level.
