Queen Camilla Illyr

The youngest of three children of King Ranneth Illyr, Camilla was never originally destined to take the throne of Vallanna, but following the deaths of both of her older brothers in 901AoU, she would find herself first in line for the crown.
It is said that King Ranneth never recovered from the deaths of his sons, and upon his own passing in 902AoU, Camilla was crowned Queen of Vallanna.
Camilla would prove a wise ruler, but prized the wellbeing of her only son, Theodore, above all else. At Camilla's direction, after the young prince suffered from a persisent debilitating illness as young child, he would have a somewhat sheltered upbringing, with his mother always close at hand.

Personal history

Ten years younger than her eldest brother, Elias, Camilla was born in 875AoU; the third child of King Ranneth Illyr and Queen Lena Illyr.
In 896AoU, Camilla would marry Christopher Eidell, the second son of the then Baron of Duskwick, Yarrick Eidell. The two were very much in love, and looked forward to starting a family together. After several years of trying for a child, their son Theodore was born in 900AoU.
The following year, in 901AoU, Camilla was propelled into the role of heir to the throne, after both of her brothers were lost at sea during a storm on the Sea of Whispers. Their father was distraught at this loss, and after a short illness, himself passed away in 902AoU, never really recovering from his son's untimely deaths.
With her father and elder brothers dead, Camilla was crowned Queen of Vallanna in 902AoU. Her reign would be largely peaceful, and despite it's unexpected nature, she would prove a just and wise ruler.
In late 927AoU, her husband Christopher was involved in a hunting accident, and would die from his wounds, leaving Camilla a widow after thirty-one years of marriage. In similar circumstances to her late father, Camilla would never recover from this loss, and would pass away while still in mourning, just a couple of months later.
Camilla's death would mean that the throne of Vallanna would pass to her only child, Theodore, the last surviving member of the Illyr family dynasty.
