Old and nearing the end of his natural lifespan, Ariwus is more knowledgeable on the arcane arts and lore of the world than most people in the world; to top it all, he is unable to use magic naturally. Instead it was thirst for knowledge that drove him to learn and expand his mind. Now he uses the knowledge he gains to help with the expeditions The Voice of Reason undertakes into the ruins they find so the old world can be better understood and pieced together. Now on what he expects to be his last foray for the Guild, Ariwus seeks to uncover everything possible about the city of Visilargyian in the hopes of completing a grand work about the city.
