MegaDungeon Floor I

Designed & constructed by the brightest minds and arcane users, it has withstood the intervening centuries with little degradation underneath Castle Visilar and the city itself. Time itself has left it to be all but forgotten by the history itself and the few books that did contain knowledge of it. Two entrances were placed just in the entrance of Castle Visilar which joined into a smaller room that served as the singular point from which those that had been sentenced to time were placed into the level. These individuals were recalled after their time had been served and the crime absolved if possible.

Purpose / Function

Purpose of it being built was to punish individuals that were of a dangerous nature that were not aligned with the civics of Visilargyian. These entities included, but not limited too: dangerous individuals, war criminals, dissenters, rebels, and those that committed any crime that would have sentenced to time in the dungeon. They would then be recalled after the sentence had been commuted or absolved after the time had elapsed of the sentence.

Alterations

Originally designed with only one room at the beginning, it grew quickly in complexity and size as the Visilar Royal family deigned it necessary to accommodate the needs for holding those that were sent into the dungeon. Various creatures/monsters were seeded into it so that those sentenced would be tested and need to survive in order to actually earn absolution or fully serve the time. Additionally a massive ecosystem has developed over the years that supports all manner of life within it.

Architecture

104 rooms made of stone masonry and interconnected tunnels that were made to withstand structural damage and are hard to navigate.

Tourism

People sent here did not visit willingly of their own accord.
