A phantom of a memory, Omen hunts in the shadows. He renders enemies blind, teleports across the field, then lets paranoia take hold as his foe scrambles to learn where he might strike next. A man with mysterious origins, Omen is focused on hindering the vision of his enemies with things like an orb that strikes those in his sights with nearsightedness and another that bursts to obscure the vision of everyone nearby. He can also teleport a short distance, or use his ultimate to teleport anywhere on the map as a shadow A living nightmare, Omen takes full advantage of his shadowed physique and will not hesitate to eliminate his eliminate using the forces of paranoia and fear. He is cynical in nature, which stems from him experiencing extreme pain as he was condemned to remain in the state that he is today. If there's one person who wants to know more about his mysterious circumstances, it's Omen himself - and quite desperately so. Despite his fearsome nature, Omen shows some friendliness towards people he knows well such as Viper, shown by being able to call her by her real name despite her warning other agents to never do so.

Omen's real name is partially revealed by Viper in an interaction between the two Omen appears to have a limited memory of his past, though he does remember he was involved in something that caused him to be ripped apart and killed Omen played an important part in the founding of the VALORANT Protocol and why it was set upOmen and his brother were scientists working at Kingdom prior to First Light. When First Light happened, both Omen and his brother were exposed to radianite. While it had no effect on his brother (or his brother's wife), Omen gained the small ability to control? his own shadow. However, as radianite kept being mined and used, Omen began to feel stranger and stranger. He began to feel shaky and started to lose time. He, his brother, and his wife, Viper, began to use Kingdom's resources to study this, largely keeing Omen's increasing powers a secret from Kingdom, weary about how he would be treated as a Radiant, especially an unknown/powerful one. Kingdom aquired a crystal that seemed to... resonate with him. It seemed to trigger Omen's powers, often causing shadows to manifest around and causing his while form to ripple. Viper used some contacts to get in touch with a Radiant healer who had made strong strides in controlling her powers. They met and Sage went to investigate and speak with Omen, at a time while Omen's brother and his kids were at the facility. Omen tried to reach out with his powers to the crystal and it caused an explosion and a rift to open. Omen and his brother were swallowed by the rift instantly.
