Kingdom existed before First Light, but really gained influence after it as they were the ones who were able to really unveil radianite to the world, as well as being the most knowledgeable on how to find, manufacture, and otherwise utilize it.   Kingdom also fostered connections to the military, through which Brimstone became involved with them.
