Brimstone
Liam Bryne (a.k.a. Sarge)
The oldest of the group, Brimstone is a commander with a long history of wearing a uniform, but as if teaching from age and experience wasn't enough to prove his place in leading an organization composed of unique individuals who are each an elite in their own right, then perhaps continuing to work with boots on the ground sealed the deal. As founder and commander of VALORANT, Brimstone always encourages his teammates whenever he can, and does not seem to obligate his subordinates to speak in a formal or professional manner that is usually seen in the military; this is notable as he refers to the younger agents as "kids." Additionally, Brimstone describes himself to be stubborn, and is quite adamant in not letting age get him into retirement anytime soon.

Personal history
Brimstone and his friend went through a lot together as children. They first met when he moved from a different country to Brimstone's sleepy hometown. Most people made fun of his accent but Brimstone stuck up for him. They were friends for years and years, and spent a portion of their younger lives working as volunteer firefighters together. Eventually, both of them joined the military and were eventually deployed in the same region the friend was originally born in. Brimstone's friend disobeyed orders to save an army translator and their family from retaliation and was killed doing so, before Brimstone could arrive as back up.
Brimstone returned to the United States after and signed up as a consultant for Kingdom Corporation after First Light because they were promising to effect lives for the better all across the world. Kingdom took note of Brimstone's record when they were putting together a task force that specialized in handling dangerous Radiants. Brimstone was added to the task force where he first met Viper who was still working for Kingdom as a research scientist. Brimstone's task force would research and locate all kinds of Radiants for Kingdom which was how Brimstone first met Cypher. However, the potential threat levels, abilities, and ages were all concealed from Brimstone and the task force whenever Kingdom saw fit, and so were some of the things Kingdom did with Radiants when they got their hands on them.
Brimstone's task force was used to recover Omen when he resurfaced. It was Viper who revealed what Kingdom was doing to select Radiants to Brimstone. Brimstone brought the idea of the Valorant Protocol to Kingdom, hoping that what remained of their original positive nature would allow him to run his own task force on his own terms. That worked for a time until Omen was found again and Brimstone and Viper were told about the Mirror Earth and how it was Kingdom's fault the two were at war. Since then, Brimstone has tried more than sever to separate VP from Kingdom, though he has tried to keep a strategic relationship with them.

Brimstone has previously worked for the Kingdom Corporation. He is one of the founders and leaders of the VALORANT Protocol, alongside Viper. Brimstone's previous occupations possibly include being a firefighter and a military soldier, as shown in his personal player card and images in an office of his.

- Some agents like Phoenix refer to him as the "Big Man".
- There may be friction between him and Breach.
