Borderwood
Borderwood is a massive, moss-covered forest resting against the eastern crest of the Cairnbrow Mountains, stretching north into Giant's Glade and south towards the banks of the Seneng River.
With thick wood, heavy underbrush, and a nigh-impenetrable canopy, straying from the established paths of Borderwood is frequently a death sentence. But that doesn't mean people haven't tried; those that have, and survived, have sang of the treasures within.
Rumors
The popular Astaguan song, "Fuck you! Pardon me, Fuck you, sir!" has regaled the tale of a group of adventurers, all but the bard slain, who were kidnapped by a group of brigands in the wood. The bard who wrote the song and goes by the name The Ragged Muffin is known to reminisce of his deceased adventuring party after drinking. Far more sought-after than the Brigands of the Wood, there is rumored to be a semi-buried Celorian Keep embedded on the eastern slopes of the Cairnbrow Mountains somewhere between the Piercing Hills and the Seneng River. Academia, in Highburg, has a partially translated letter from the region which briefly mentions it; the curator thinks the keep is long collapsed, but that hasn't stopped the foolhardy and the brave from looking for it.
