Cairnbrow Mountains

The majority of the Cairnbrow Mountains are in Astagua, with only about 15% of the moderately young range crossing into Vescania. The mountain range separates Ghoulwood and the Whispering Pines with a nearly perfect-north climb through Astagua before transitioning into the Piercing Hills. At the border of Astagua and Vescania, they turn west, south-west before dwindling into the hills north of Clifton.
The Cairn are the most intimately familiar with the switchbacks and ravines of the range, and they utilized that knowledge to great effect when alerting Highburg of the invasion. They've documented a highly complex network of tunnels and caves which span everything from the middle of the Rock Plains, through the ridge, and into Borderwood.
The Cairn aren't sure if the tunnels are natural or if someone dug them. Before the Vescanian attack, the tunnels were documented by curious children; the Cairn have since stopped that practice.
