Dhacha

Dhacha's original borders encompassed all of the land north of the Havswallow River. It was a sparsely populated area before Unification, and not much has changed since.
Tieflings from Dhacha, known as the Iaak (ee-YOK), are considered ancient Tieflings, as given away by their appearance. The demonic features prevalent in other Tiefling populations are significantly less pronounced among the Iaak. Unlike the other races, however, there is always some demonic feature present, whether it be small horns, a vestigial tail, or 'unnatural' eyes. The Iaak's eyes are also dissimilar to other Tieflings in that instead of being a crimson, purple, or other dark shade, they instead commonly appear as some sort of galvanized precious metal, with platinum being the most common color.
The Iaak neither relish in or denounce their origins; in large part because no one is exactly sure how they came to be. While other Tieflings can often trace the unholy arrangement made in their lineage which resulted in their changed appearance, the Iaak cannot. This has lead some to believe that the Iaak aren't really Tieflings at all, but another entirely separate race. An even smaller group believes the Iaak aren't even from Vals'kar.
They are tolerant of hesitant behavior when meeting strangers, but are quick to anger at outward displays of racism. Their magical and martial prowess during the Vescania-Astagua War earned them the respect of their fellow nationals and led to the moderate-scale immigration Felhook has experienced. Beyond Felhook to the north, there has been very little immigration since Unification.
The history of the Iaak is shrouded in mystery. Like the Caiir, the truths and details of their time in Vals'kar is kept private among them. The secretive nature of their heritage has led many an adventurer to this region of Astagua, that they may find relics, ancient tombs, ruins, or some other dramatic find to unearth the truth.
So far, those ventures have proved fruitless, though not everyone returns from the region.
