Ardwyn

The oldest of the River Kingdoms, Ardwyn has long been known as a land of nobility, virtuous knights, and devotion to the gods. About 75 years ago, however, the long-standing monarchy was overthrown and replaced by an oligarchy of wizards. Ardwynians were not unhappy to see their king deposed, but are struggling to reconcile their heritage of gods-fearing nobility with the new focus on the arcane arts. The Argent Academy is a mage's college which focuses on Evocation and Conjuration magics.
The newly formed order of mage knights are a formidable force.
