Etrya Island

Etrya Island is very commonly known among the people of Varden, however very few have ever been there. It is said that you may only visit if the island wants you to, many harbouring ill intent have tried and failed miserably. The island is home to The Spirit Plate which allows entry to The Spirit World, but only if the gods allow it.
Many religious shrines were erected on the island during the very early days of humanity by devout followers. Followers of the many various religions are allowed safe passage to and from the island.
During The Human Revolution, a huge amount of ships carrying 1000's of soldiers were destroyed during their planned invasion of the island, many of those ships, most notably The Saracen, were carrying spirit weapons, the only thing able to completely kill a god. To this day, nobody knows where those weapons are now, over the years there have been various searches for the lost weapons but all failed to bare fruit.
Explorers who have been allowed entry have shared their findings with The Knowledge Guild and reports indicate the entire island doesn't make sense and seems to have it's own climate system separate from the rest of the world. There is snow where there shouldn't be snow, forests where there shouldn't be forests, mountains where there shouldn't be mountains. Many people have claimed that the island is pure magic and the most beautiful thing they have ever seen.
