Tortugan Islands

The Tortugan Islands are a group of islands at the entrance to the Guillotine Narrows formed after the death of the male Dragon Turtle, Tortugan.   The two largest islands are Gran Tortugan, the largest island, formed of the shell and body of the dragon turtle and Isla Caveira, the second largest, northern-most island consisting of the skull and neck bones of the dragon turtle. The island group is surrounded by coral reefs and shifting sand bars and is teeming with unique plants and animals.
