Physical Build
The people of Iron are light-skinned, usually with fair hair and light eyes. Highlanders are large, bulky and hairy, a hearty people. Others are generally a bit slimmer and less hairy, but taller than the Highlanders. Very similar to the English people and Scottish people. Fair complexion, a long neck, plucked eyebrows, even teeth, moderate bust, a nice scent (perfume), and curvaceous body are beauty standards. Within the Empire, there are three distinct accents. Highlander, Ember, Iron. Iron is seen as the most educated or regal. Highlander is harsh-scottish. Ember is blunt and short, like the people. The Highlanders have an honor-based system similar to medieval Iceland. The rest of Iron contains noblemen and the working class, with big discrepencies between the two. Elders often still hold respect. Iron Empire has standard medieval greetings. Bowing to superiors, courtseying for women, shaking hands and hugging for friends. "My Lord, My Lady" for nobles. The Iron Empire cities put great emphasis on class, if you are of noble lineage you are of high importance. Working classmen can at best become rich merchants. Tell-tale signs of upper classmanship is equivolence, education, clothing and regality. Becoming a commander requires noble blood. Anyone can become a Soulomancer in this world, it is just a very rare quality to have. All of Iron is patriarchal, fathers run the household and a good mother is one who is there for their kids. A good father protects and provides for. The courts of Iron often marry to merge Houses and form alliances. Highlanders marry for love, it is a civil institution, done for love. Iron does it religiously in the name of the God of the Dead so that the married couples souls are forever linked and find each other after death. The people of Iron have several festivals throughout the year. These are all Feasts. Feasts are celebrations that originated from the Highlands that started by getting everyone together and brave the harsh winters of the mountains. The Iron Empire is a mixture of classic fantasy town names, ancient greek & roman. Ember Dominance uses only one word names. The Highland towns are of scottish + classic names. The people of Iron have classic fantasy names, with some ancient greek and roman. Their surnames are traditional, some have colonial american surnames, others have some inspired by roman, greek, icelandic, or traditional english. Highlander surnames have a meaning behind them. It often denotes their ancestry through a story which is also tied to their pin. Ember is simplistic blunt words for the people that usually have a different meaning or are a noun.
