Ep 119: "Worship"

Morning

As the party woke up, they saw the notes regarding the destruction of the guild hall. The city had cordoned off the area. Oisin had Pinbol doing research on what to do with the illithid head. Lark has been baking for Pip’s name day celebration. Primeheart purchased a cow. Kali was minding the temple in an attempt to keep her mind off what happened with the guild hall. Pip spent his morning with the Tinker’s Guild discussing procurement of a firearm. Saxi went to Arlund’s shop to inquire about a custom item for Pip’s name day.

Beer Forge

Everyone surprised Pip with a name day celebration. Presents were given, antics were had. The party discussed what to do that day.
Attacking Imelda outright was not ideal, as they had no knowledge of what was happening in the temple. The council would be likely to ask another adventuring guild to handle the situation with the Rinth temple and Imelda. They decided to split up to get more done. Kali, Lark, Saxi, Primeheart, and Oisin went to Kali’s temple; Pip went to his burrow to stow his gifts.

Kali’s Temple

Kali cast Divination to ask Elumir-aruna for guidance. She asked questions:

“When is the best time to strike at the temple to ensure success?”
Kali was spun around and pointed in the opposite direction.
“How do we stop the King of Secrets from coming?”
“You cannot stop the King of Secrets from appearing, you can only choose where. The day you confront living darkness will be the day the King appears. Choose your timing well, but swiftly. Or it will be chosen for you.”

The Library

Pip sought out Kythra for information on Rinth. He asked her what Rinth hated. Kythra told him that she hated the sun. She had been trying to capture the sun for thousands of years. Kythra also told him that Rinth’s opposite was Deliya, goddess of Light and Life, the embodiment of the sun. Kythra said she would do additional research and reach out once she had something.
As Pip left the library, Zeknar Feddles was at the bottom of the steps. He gave Pip his gun and stated that while he wanted to go home, he wasn’t sure when that would happen. He was tired of living the lie of being Zeknar Feddles, and Pip was deserving of the weapon.

The Path of Radiance

The party went to the temple of Light, The Path of Radiance, to find information on Deliya. Primeheart gave an offering to the Adiya (nature/light), the rest of the party gave offerings to Deliya to beseech her aid and impress on her that they wished for her favor in their fight against Rinth.

Council Chambers

The group went to the Council Chambers to get information on what they planned to do with the guild hall situation. Things weren’t going well at the council meeting. Several council members were pacing outside, as though trying to clear their heads. Kurt and Rydell approached the party.
