Saltfort

The first port of call for those that sought to flee the oppressive regimes of Sabal, or to change their standing in this world. Saltfort began as a spattering of settlements high on the mesas, the incline of the slopes their natural defence, but now they have grown, not only across several mesas connected by long rope and wooden bridges, but down into the canyons, where the walls between the stacks, provide almost a perfect circle of defence. Further down the slope of the city's walls are fields and fields of salt dried land and the city's namesake. Many in the city harvest this salt for trade as well as grow rare plants within the unique soil. Groups of hunters and trappers wander the coast in search of the migratory fish and animals that call this, once abandoned and safe area, home. Besides these coastal farms rests a small port with the occasional ship or two harbouring for the night, before moving on.
