Saviours' Gulf
Many a servant, slave, imprisoned mistress or refugee have wept upon sight of Saviours' Gulf and its barren cliffs. Most see the gentle waves of a nondescript sea with the regular trawl of fishermen and trading vessels, but to many it represents an idea. An idea that was once set in blood, for during the birth of Sabal, when its slave trade was most prolific, many united and fled the kingdom, arriving upon the southern tip of the continent looking for a free life. Their slave-masters, worried others might take up the call for freedom sent what soldiers they dared to bring them back, and within the surf of Saviours' Gulf they fought for their freedom and lives. After days of battle the sea turned red beneath the stain of death, and the slaves drove the soldiers back. Those few that gained their boats fled back to Sabal and the now freed slaves settled there upon the edge of Saviours' Gulf with Tami Aurcaller as their first leader. To this day a huge statue upon the docks of The Red Refuge immortalises that struggle for freedom and reminds all of the price paid for their freedom.
