The Lenlin

The Lenlin River surrounds the inner Elyswer, stretching from Heartgrove Lake in the north to Greenleaf in the south. It is a natural defense against invaders and all must cross the river should they seek entrance into the forest. Many magical creatures live within the rivers waters, dwelling within underwater caves and coves. These mermaids, sirens, water nymphs and water creatures answer to Tiandra, and often guide friendly ships along the Lenlin, and enemies to their deaths.

The Rivers' Magic

The river has been infused with magic reflecting hopes, needs and wants as well as memories into the minds of those that seek to cross with malicious intent. Many struggle with the phantom visions and find themselves back upon the outer shore without knowing how they got there. Others fall in seeking to grasp what they desire and drown within the swift flowing river. Others still succumb to the beasts and creatures of the river; eaten, entranced or tricked into their watery realm, never to leave.
