Organisation:

The Purple Dagger is a secret agency of assassins, saboteurs and infiltrators. Their primary goal is to remove threats within and without Sabal in an attempt to shift allegiances, contracts and public favour towards the Empire. The hierarchy is split into two main categories, and each has a different leader and second in command; The Artificers and Alchemists and the Phantoms. They work in smaller pods, often unaware of who is truly commanding them and their contracts attract even foreign agents.

The Artificers and Alchemists:

Leader - 'Prime' Silnor Bowband (human)
Seconds - 'Manipulators' - Kazzik Relkblow (Goblin Alchemist) / Altrea Geargrind (Gnome Artificer)

Hidden away beneath Sab Adul in chains of tunnels and labs are The Warrens. This is the name for the Purple Daggers base, and constitutes an underground city of sorts. Lightning from the storms is collected by the weather vanes above and brought below ground where it is used to create items and more importantly, potions. The Artificers and Alchemists work on these daily, refining and perfecting existing formulae as well as testing new ones. It is said if you are without a home in Sab Adul and find yourself on the street, you will either vanish and become a test subject, or die in the great regional storms. Both not attractive options.

The Phantoms:

Rarely seen or heard, and those that do know better than to say such things. Phantom are trained with a range of weaponry, skills and magic. Part of their trainings involves the consumption of magically charged potions to enhance their speed, strength or provide magical qualities. Over time they become more and more resistant to magic, internally and externally, making them adept and terrifying mage killers.

(The Phantom is a playable Rogue subclasses in DnD5e created by me, but can easily be adapted for Pathfinder. The Info can be found in the link in the subtitle.)

Foreigners: The Purple Dagger has no concern for race, nation or allegiance in its works. They are likely the only organization to employ agents of other nations and species if they can confirm their loyalty and turn them to their cause. Some even join willingly, having crossed Purple Dagger agents in the past and looking for employment. For they can offer power as well as lucrative contracts.

Founder: Elisan Corollo was as intelligent as she was mad. The woman was an artificer at heart and her works to convert magic into a physical entity took extensive work and only ever worked in liquid, allowing her to create potions imbued with primal magics, refined of course. Her research upon ships in the Shattered Shelf found the magic of primal storms the most potent and requisitioned the Emperor for materials to continue her studies. Understanding the incredible potential he granted her a warren of secret tunnels beneath Sab Adul and founded 'The Purple Dagger', where she worked until her death in 2467 PC.
