Session 8: Dirty Filthy Sand Elves.... Report
General Summary
The party had a non-existant time on the road before they made it to Atvu. They almost immediately got into a small tussle with some snakes and a fiercesome lizard. Afterwards, the group met some villagers before seeing Hatta Sindri. The rock people bonded before they got down to business. They learned about where the sand elves were camped nearby and the villager's fears. The party secured rooms to sleep in before leaving to see the elves.
The sand elves were none other than Zyl's former tribe. Feveril (?) was the one who first recognized their former tribe member, but he was quickly disappointed by the willingness Zyl had to work with Nahyz. Luckily, the rest of the tribe was less judgemental. Cornall (?) explained what was actually going on, both the rampaging gnolls bearing down on both them and the town, the appearance of the thri-kreen pack, and the elves plan to try and team up with the village when the attack happened.
Disappointed with the plans, Zyl came up with a new plan. He and Barnaby returned to the village where they put on a very persuasive play that convinced the villagers the sand elves were the opposite of evil. Then, they met with the hatta and got approval for the elves to also stay in the village. Meanwhile, Leon was discussing the history of double-bladed scimitars with Feveril(?). Roisin and Grebovich teamed up to handle the thri-kreen threat. Instead, they met Formicidae and the rest of the insectoids. They agreed to team up with the village and elves in exchange for resources to craft higher quality armor and weapons for themselves.
The session ended with Leon bunking down for the night, Zyl and Barnaby riding high from success, and Roisin, Greb, and the thri-kreens traveling back to the village. Roisin and Greb know the gnolls are about a day away.
