The town as a bustling wharf district full of trade, taverns and travelers. It is home to the renowned Squallsong Inn with its attached brothel and gambling house. An underground organization of Vysoki insurgents are secretly attempting to wrest control of the city from Jorundhamn.

Shallowport was founded after the Spelldeath in -219 as a waypoint for sailors along the western coast of Askalda who struggled to navigate the waters without arcane assistance.
