Sun Elf

The Sur'iro, or Sun Elves, are a subrace of elves that developed along the equator of Verdun. They established the city of Sur'thelyn on Askalda which became a great and powerful nation during the Age of Splendor when magic was at its peak, but nearly collapsed during the Spelldeath. They are the friendliest and most social of the elven subraces, abandoning their xenophobic tendencies after the restoration of magic.

Appearance

Sur'iro have an average lifespan of 450-550 years of age. Their skin tone ranges from light to dark browns. Their ears come to a long, sharp point. The average height for Sur'iro is 6'0" - 6'2" with an average weight of 160-180 lbs. Like the other elven subraces, they are naturally lithe and agile, though Sur'iro are the heartiest of the subraces. Their eyes vary from dull brown to brilliant golds, reds and yellows. Their hair is naturally dark, though many take to bleaching it with bright golds and yellow. Western sun elves tend to have curly black hair which they sometimes weave into elaborate braids or locks, while eastern sun elves have straight or wavy hair which can be similarly braided.

The Sun Elves were born as a result of the Curse of Mortality from the early years of the Age of Abandonment. The western sun elves on Askalda settled the ancient city of Sur'thelyn around -5800 after magic was introduced to them by travelers from Myth'thelyn.
