A former member of the Assassin's Guild, she has since defected and seeks redemption in her search for the Verge Drive to right the many wrongs she has comitted.

Personal history
Ebony was born into poverty on the streets of New Cairo in 2144. Under unknown cercumstances, her parents died when she was very young, and she was left to fend for herself until June 12, 2153 when Bedlam and a young Hildegard happened upon her on the streets of New Cairo. Hildegard saw no point in stopping, but Bedlam saw something in the face of the young Ebony.
Ebony was adopted by Bedlam who promptly began teaching the young girl how to see without sight. Ebony began to master her remaining senses, particularly her sense of hearing. By the age of ten, Ebony was beginning to train how to fight with Bedlam's scythe, and by eleven she was actively participating in the Assassin's Guild's missions, killing her first targets before the end of the year. Ebony felt at home, and felt as though she had a family.
When Bedlam suddenly passed away in 2157, when Ebony was thirteen, Hildegard inherited the title of Leader of the Assassin's Guild. In that time, Ebony and Hildegard had become well versed in each other and had become terrific partners and coworkers, but Hildegard nevery fully bought into Ebony's presense. Ebony inherited Bedlam's scythe and became Hildegard's second in command.
In 2167, after more than a decade in the service of the Assassin's Guild, Ebony began to question the morals and purpose of the Assassin's Guild, culminating in her abandonment of the order to live her own life in isolation. Hildegard took this as an affront, and Ebony went on the run to flee Hildegard's wrath.
As of the Anatolian Encounter, Ebony has met and become good friends with Russet, and the two are now traveling together on the airship Kelvin in search of the Verge Drive.
